SaaS marketing agency for software companies that measure trials, demos and revenue

A SaaS marketing agency based in Pune, working with B2B and B2C software companies across India and abroad. We run SaaS SEO, paid search and paid social as one system, with tracking that follows a user from first click to trial, to paid plan, to renewal.

SaaS marketing

Why SaaS needs a different playbook

Selling software is not like selling a one-off product. A sign-up is the start of the funnel, not the end. The real outcome happens days or weeks later, when a trial user activates, converts to a paid plan and then stays long enough to be profitable. Marketing that optimises for sign-ups alone tends to fill the product with users who never pay.

That is why our SaaS work starts with measurement. We connect your ad platforms and analytics to the events that matter inside the product, such as activation, upgrade and cancellation, so budget flows toward the channels and keywords that produce paying customers rather than cheap trials.

For the thinking behind it, see our guides to B2B lead generation channels and conversion tracking.

What is included

SaaS marketing services, broken into parts

Take one service or the whole engine. Most SaaS companies start with tracking and paid search, then build SEO underneath.

SaaS SEO

Technical SEO, bottom-of-funnel content (comparison, alternatives, pricing and integration pages) and topic clusters that bring in buyers, not just readers. Built on our SEO services.

SaaS PPC

Google and Microsoft Ads on high-intent category, competitor and problem searches, with bidding tied to trials that activate rather than raw sign-ups. See paid media & PPC.

LinkedIn & paid social

Job-title and company targeting for B2B SaaS, plus Meta and YouTube for product-led and B2C software. Details on our social ads page.

Product-led tracking

Sign-up, activation, upgrade and churn events sent back to ad platforms and analytics, so every channel is judged on revenue.

Trial & demo pages

Landing pages and sign-up flows tested to lift trial starts and demo bookings, through our landing page & CRO work.

Onboarding & nurture email

Lifecycle emails that move trial users to activation and paid plans, and win back users who stall. See email & automation.

Demo pipeline for sales-led SaaS

Lead scoring and CRM routing so sales calls the right accounts quickly. See our B2B lead generation service.

Partner & affiliate programmes

Referral and affiliate tracking for SaaS partners, resellers and review sites, via our affiliate & tracking service.

SaaS reporting

A reporting view built on customer acquisition cost, trial-to-paid rate, payback period and revenue by channel.

Product-led or sales-led

Two SaaS motions, two different funnels

Product-led SaaS (self-serve sign-up, free trial or freemium) lives or dies on volume and activation. Here we focus on search and social campaigns that bring in the right users, sign-up flows with as little friction as possible, and onboarding emails that get users to their first moment of value quickly.

Sales-led SaaS (demo requests, higher contract values, buying committees) needs fewer, better-qualified leads. Here we focus on high-intent search terms, LinkedIn targeting by company and role, content for each stage of a longer evaluation, and a clean handoff into your CRM.

Many companies run a hybrid: self-serve for smaller customers and a sales team for larger accounts. We build the tracking so both paths are measured separately and budget can be split by what each one returns.

How it runs

Four phases, in order

Scaling spend before the funnel is measured just buys more sign-ups you cannot evaluate.

Audit

Ad accounts, analytics, sign-up flow, product events and CRM reviewed, with a written list of what is and is not being measured.

Instrument

Trial, activation, upgrade and churn events wired into analytics and ad platforms, with offline conversions for sales-led deals.

Launch

Search campaigns on high-intent terms first, then SEO content and paid social in the mix your motion and budget support.

Scale

Budget moved toward channels with the best payback, and content expanded around the searches that convert to paid plans.

SaaS SEO

SaaS SEO that targets buyers, not just readers

Many SaaS blogs rank for broad educational topics that bring traffic but few trials. We prioritise the searches people make when they are choosing software:

  • Category searches, such as “inventory management software for distributors”.
  • Comparison and alternatives pages for the tools buyers are already evaluating.
  • Pricing, integration and use-case pages that answer late-stage questions directly.
  • Problem-led content that connects a specific pain point to your product.
  • Technical SEO for JavaScript-heavy marketing sites, documentation and help centres.

Read our SEO guide for the fundamentals and SEO vs PPC for how the two channels work together in a SaaS budget.

Common problems

SaaS marketing mistakes we see most often

  • Optimising ads for sign-ups, not customers. Campaigns chase the cheapest trials, which are often the least likely to pay. Feeding activation and upgrade events back to the ad platforms fixes the target.
  • Bidding on broad, expensive category terms too early. Early budgets usually go further on specific problem, integration and competitor-alternative searches with clearer intent.
  • A blog that ranks but does not convert. Educational articles attract readers who are years from buying. Comparison, pricing and use-case pages are usually a better first investment.
  • A sign-up flow nobody has tested. Extra form fields, forced demos or unclear next steps quietly cut trial numbers before marketing even gets a chance.
  • No link between marketing and billing data. Without it, nobody can say which channel produces customers who stay, so budget decisions are guesses.
  • Treating India and international markets the same. Pricing, search behaviour, cost per click and buying cycles differ by market, so campaigns and pages need to be set up separately.
What we report on

The SaaS metrics that decide budget

Customer acquisition cost

Total marketing cost divided by new paying customers, by channel and campaign.

Trial-to-paid rate

The share of sign-ups or demos that become paying accounts, the clearest signal of lead quality.

Payback period

How many months of revenue it takes to recover the cost of acquiring a customer.

Activation rate

How many new users reach the first meaningful action in the product.

Pipeline by source

For sales-led SaaS: qualified demos, opportunities and closed revenue by channel.

Churn by source

Whether some channels bring customers who leave faster, so acquisition cost is judged against lifetime value.

Questions

About SaaS marketing

Do you only work with SaaS companies in Pune?

No. We are based in Pune and work with software companies across India and internationally. Being local helps when you want in-person workshops, but the day-to-day work runs remotely.

Should a SaaS startup start with SEO or paid ads?

Usually paid search first, on a tight set of high-intent keywords, because it produces trials and data within weeks. SEO should start alongside it, since it takes months to build and becomes the lowest-cost channel over time.

Do you work with product-led and sales-led SaaS?

Yes. Product-led companies need volume and activation; sales-led companies need qualified demos and a clean CRM handoff. The tracking and channel mix differ, and we set each up accordingly.

Can you connect our product events to the ad platforms?

Yes. We map sign-up, activation, upgrade and cancellation events from your product or billing system into analytics and ad platforms, so campaigns optimise toward customers who pay rather than users who only sign up.

Do you guarantee a number of trials or customers?

No. Results depend on your product, pricing and market, which we do not control. We commit to a clear process, honest measurement and telling you early when a channel is not working.
